Mr. Gibilaro,

I just read your comments in the St. Pete Times on the rumors you are fielding about the SC2 project. We totally agree with you and Nancy Clements that rumors are very bad and counter-productive. It is critically important that the facts about the SC2 be accurately portrayed on the FTE Website as well as the truthaboutsuncoast2.com website, or any other media form of public information about this important project.

We wanted to ask you for some specific examples of the content of those rumors. We would appreciate it if you could list the main topic of those e-mail messages that you and Ms. Clements feel are misleading. If you and Ms. Clement would state what your issue is with the rumor, and your viewpoint on the facts, we assure you we will do our best to stick to the facts. If we have a contrary view we will send them back to you for your agreement that the facts as we understand them are accurate.

We are particularly interested in the facts on the soundwalls in the Cheval West development. Is it a fact that the soundwalls are up? If not, are they scheduled to be completed? If yes, what date is construction to start and what agency is paying for them? How much will the construction cost for the wall be per mile?

Or..... is it a fact that they were never in the FTE budget in the first place and will not be installed unless funded from some agency other than the FDOT or the FTE?

Would you clarify your organization for us. I thought Mr. Randy Fox was Director of Planning for FTE. Has Ms. Clements assumed that role? Would you please send us her email address or other appropriate contact information for her. We would appreciate it if you would pass our comments on to her until we can contact her directly. v As we did not get a response from you seeking clarification regarding your email of 3/11/04 in which you inferred that all our questions had been answered and no more responses would be forthcoming........ Is it a fact that you and the FTE staff have been instructed, or have made a decision, not to respond to our requests for information and/or clarification regarding the SC2 project?
