The Federal Highway Administration approved the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the Suncoast Parkway 1 on August 10, 1994 and a Record of Decision concurring with the decisions of the FEIS and draft Record of Decision was signed on December 14, 1994. No Federal dollars were spent on the construction of the roadway portion of the Suncoast Parkway 1. Some Federal dollars were spent on the Suncoast Trail bridge over SR 50.
